 Hogar de Cristo

At Hogar de Cristo, a home for orphaned or displaced boys, we taught english twice a week and painted a mural. It was here that I met some of the silliest and most loving boys I have ever known. They are between the ages of 9-17 and I love each and every one of them. They are so special, and deserve so much in life.

This is the wall we painted, before. It is this area that they did homework and had classes.
Teaching english.

Most of the time was just silly antics like this. We had to come up with more exciting ways to teach because keeping them still for so long was really hard. But I had the most fun having races, playing various little games like papel, piedra, y tijeras (rock paper scissors), arm wrestling, and others.
They kept their own animals. Sheep and chickens and two dogs named Codi and Canela.

Teaching english again!
The boys had to get shots one day. I am glad we were there to help comfort them! I can't imagine getting shots as a little kid without mom there to kiss it better!
